Single Layer Happy Birthday Card

Single Layer Happy Birthday Card

Hi Y’all,

This is a birthday card I made for kwernerdesign.com challenge.  The challenge basically required the use of  stamps without layering.  As simple as it sounds, this was quite a challenge, since I love to layer and use embellishments.  Honestly, I am still trying to appreciate my effort. I would not make everything looks so linear,  next time around.

For this A2 card,   I used Papertrey Ink basic white cardstock for the base.  Three different stamp sets were also used: flower -Autumn Leaves (Flowers stamps), border-Inkadinkado (Garden Flower); sentiment-Inkadinkado (Floral Wishes).  The flowers were stamped using inks from Stampin up! (SU!), in orchid opulence,  certainly celery, and cameo coral.  The inside of the flowers were chalked using Pebbles Inc. Shimmers pearlescent chalks.  The border was stamped with SU!  tempting turquoise, and the sentiment in SU! basic black.  And lastly, the corners were rounded with SU! corner rounder punch.  Thanks for looking.

Below is Kristina’s video tutorial on how she made her single layer card. Enjoy!
